25 Jun Girls football success at Toddington St George’s School

Coaches from Toddington Rovers today (25th June 2019) attended Toddington St George’s School and gave every girl the chance of a 30 minutes fun football session.

These were girls only session which saw girls from year R, 1,2 and 3 take part. Those in year 4 were offered an after school session.  In total 112 girls took part in the day sessions and a further 17 took part in the after school session.

Toddington Rovers girls development coach Danny Lawrence said, “This builds on the work we have already done in Parkfields, the club has a desire to ensure we have more girls taking part in football and we hope this work will be the start of the girls journey into football. As a club we simply don’t have enough girls playing for us and we want to ensure our setting is open to all.”

All girls will have a note in their book bags in the next couple of days giving further information about our girls only sessions we plan to hold on Sunday’s at The Glebe.
